My Background                                        

​​​Firstly, welcome to my page. I am Orla O'Rourke, owner of OOR HR & Coaching.  I am an experienced HR Practitioner and also a Professional Coach.

After participating in coaching myself, I have personally witnessed the really positive impact coaching can have. I get great fulfilment in coaching clients to support them reach their goals, overcome obstacles and better understand themselves and what might be getting in their way.

​I have worked in Human Resources for 20+ years.  I was fortunate to get the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries comprising of multinational's and SME's across Professional and Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, BPO's, Agriculture and more recently Education in the public sector.  For me, HR, Training and Coaching is all about supporting people to set them up for success and enable a positive working culture and environment.

In addition to supporting businesses I am really passionate about providing customised interview preparation and interview skills training to individuals who require that one to one support to help them successfully prepare for interview. I genuinely love to see an individual's confidence flourish.

COACHING SERVICES                 

How does Coaching Work?​​​

​

  • The coaching journey can vary for individuals but as a guide 6-8 hours coaching is normally required. *This can be reduced / increased depending on where the client is at during the coaching process.​

​

  • Each session will last approximately 60 minutes.​

​

  • Sessions will typically be held online.

​​

  • The Client leads the agenda in terms of their desired outcome.

​​

  • To enable true success, clients should be open and committed to participating in the coaching process and journey.

​

  • I will work in partnership with the Client to help them reach their end destination.

​​​ 

Where do I begin?​​​

​

  • Schedule a complimentary 30 minute discovery video call with me to better understand how coaching works and how it might support you.

​

  • There will be no pressure put on any prospective clients.

​

  • Essentially, this is a chemistry call to better understand your coaching goals and how we might work together.

​

  • Confidentiality and integrity will be upheld at all times.

HR Consultancy Services    

I provide expert HR consultancy services to meet the specific needs of your business. My approach is to partner with you to provide practical solutions which align with employment legislation and HR best practice.  Key services include:

  • HR Audit & Process Improvement (review of current policies, procedures and processes) to identify potential gaps and recommend fit for purpose solutions.​

​

  • HR Policy Design - drafting of new HR Policies / policy revisions in line with changing employment legislation and the overall wellbeing landscape.

  • Employee Engagement Strategy - guidance on how to measure employee engagement in your organisation and practical solutions to address target areas.

  • HR Advisory Services and Case Management (Workplace Investigations to investigate formal grievances and/or complaints brought under dignity at work).

HR Advisory & Case Management Services

In the event an organisation receives a formal workplace complaint â€‹OOR HR & Coaching can assist with conducting an independent investigation in to the matter. 

​Investigations may relate to a formal grievance / formal complaint brought under dignity at work, for example bullying.​

​

​WHAT ARE THE KEY BENEFITS OF OUTSOURCING AN INVESTIGATION TO AN EXTERNAL HR CONSULTANT?​

​

  1. I am trained to conduct investigations.

  2. Confidentially.

  3. Unbiased and impartial review of the evidence presented.

  4. Fair process.

  5. Trust in the process from the parties involved as the external consultant has no previous history of the case and/or knowledge of the parties involved.

  6. Time saving - by their nature investigations can be time consuming for organisations.

Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous interview boards across a diverse range of industries and job level (junior to senior) in both the public and private sector.  As a result, I can offer valuable guidance, training and practical tips to support individuals' as they prepare for interview. ​ Training can be tailored to different stages of an individual's career and can incorporate some of the following scenarios:​

  • Temporary to permanent job opportunity.

  • New career opportunity outside of your current organisation.
